2021 set for exciting changes for McLean Care Mackellar.

A new year can provide opportunities to make changes, start something new or reflect on what has been and plan for what could be, and McLean Care is no stranger to this.
On 1st July 2020 McLean Care became the new custodian of Mackellar Care Services Ltd and as a not-for-profit organisation in regional and rural Australia we are invested in providing quality regional and rural aged care.


With experience in delivering quality aged care services within unique and challenging environments in rural communities like Gunnedah we are excited to announce the appointment of McLean Care Mackellar General Manager, Sarah Wade.

Sarah is certainly no stranger to our organisation and began her employment with Mclean Care in 2005. During this experience she quickly developed a passion and desire to pursue a career in the aged care industry and has held various nursing and supervisory roles within the organisation of which Sarah has been the General Manager Residential Services Team across NSW and QLD.


Sue Thomson, CEO McLean Care said “Sarah’s professionalism and proficiency within her prior roles and experiences and as a General Manager of Residential Services will provide Mackellar Residential Care with a purposeful strategic direction and leadership. This will include innovative program planning and delivery for aged care services in Gunnedah and overseeing all operational management of our Gunnedah residential aged.”


Fuelled by her dedication in providing the highest standard of quality aged care services, Sarah and her team will deliver positive outcomes for residents and their families.

Moving to a new town, getting used to new schools, the Gunnedah vibe and of course new coffee haunts. Both my children are looking forward to the new adventures and memories we will make here.” said Sarah Wade, Mackellar General Manager.
