McLeanCare Yallambee joins the Mclean Care family, previously known as Yallambee Millmerran Centenary Retirement Village Inc.

On Tuesday 3rd March, 2020, Yallambee Retirement Village will complete the transfer of theiraged care home and retirement village to McLean Care.

Since 1984 Yallambee has had a long history of serving the Millmerran Community with state-of-the-art facilities that were only recently refurbished and extended in July 2019. However, faced with ongoing challenges including sector reforms, TheYallambee Board recognised the need to transfer custodianship to another like-minded provider with the capacity to offer service excellence and ongoing sustainability for residents and staff.

McLean Care were selected as the preferred partner after a competitive expression of interest and diligenceprocess. McLean Care has had successful experience of transitioning custodianship of organisations with sensitivity and minimal impact to residents and employees, whilst providing additional benefits to the Millmerran community. “We’re excited to be be joing the Millmerran community. As a not-for-profit organisation in regional Australia, we’re continually looking for the best way to deliver quality aged care services within the unique and challenging environment of operating in rural remote and regional communities. We prioritise keeping seniors in their own communities, close to family and friends” said Sue Thomson, McLean Care CEO.

McLean Care acknowledges the Millmerrian community for their foresight in establishing a residential Age Care facility for their community and for the countless hours provided by the Board and volunteers over the years.
