CWA Restricted Visitor Access

Our priority is protecting our residents, staff and our local Oakey community.

McLean Care CWA House in Oakey has implementing its comprehensive Outbreak Management Plan to safeguard residents, staff, and the community after 3 residents returned a positive COVID19 rapid antigen test result over the weekend. Our CWA House facility has moved to restricted visitor access, with all residents in the Hostel wing receiving care in their rooms and our staff are once again in wearing full personal protective equipment while providing care.

We have informed the State and Commonwealth health authorities and are in close communication with them.

All of our families members have been contacted and we will be in close contact with them for the duration of the outbreak and will advised them of any testing results as they become available. Please be assured if there is any change to any Residents condition, we will notify the nominated person responsible as we usually do.

There are many ways our residents and their families can stay in touch. Our ‘Window of Love’ has been a great tool along with other digital technologies our residents have become skilled in, especially throughout the pandemic.
