Sarah commenced her nursing career following the completion of her Higher School Certificate in 2005. Whilst undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing degree at theUniversity of New England, Sarah obtained employment at HN McLean Memorial Retirement Village (now McLean Care Ltd) as a Residential Assistant in Nursing. During this experience she quickly developed a passion and desire to pursue a career in the aged care industry, and held various nursing and supervisory roles within the organisation.

Sarah provides strategic direction and leadership for the planning and delivery of McLean Care’s residential care services, ensuring positive outcomes for residents and their families, facilitation of all aspects of operational management of residential aged care, and maintaining excellent systems of continuous improvement.In her role, Sarah ensures that excellent and compassionate care is provided within the context of regulatory and financial compliance, in the residential facility that hosts a total staff of 160.

Sarah holds a firm belief in community, and a commitment to innovation and excellence. Her vision is to give every Resident an opportunity to enjoy their life at McLean Care, through empowering staff and maintaining a culture based on the principles of a person-centred approach.
