Whistleblower protection

A whistleblower is someone who speaks up about unsafe care, poor practices, or wrongdoing in aged care – whether it occurs in a residential aged care facility, or in a person's home.

You are protected by law when you report a concern, whether you are a client, family member, carer, or employee. You cannot be punished or treated unfairly for speaking up.
