McLean Care® CWA House Oakey residential aged care home is a 40 bed facility in picturesque Oakey, Queensland. The environment offers complete serenity in seamless coherence with its surroundings.
With more than 15 years of experience in aged care, Michael began his career in New Zealand as a Care Service Employee, where he developed a deep respect and passion for supporting older adults. After completing his nursing registration, he worked as a Registered Nurse and later as a Unit Coordinator, before moving into Clinical Nurse Management.
In April 2024, Michael stepped into the role of Facility Manager at CWA House in Oakey. Michael said he feels truly blessed to work alongside such a dedicated and compassionate team who strive every day to provide exceptional care. CWA House supports residents in a beautiful rural community, known for its strong grain and cattle farming heritage and its warm, welcoming people.

The Creek Centre is perfectly situated on the Western aspect of our Cherry Street grounds. The Creek Centre has been purpose built to facilitate complete social and community inclusion for people living with dementia. There are a range of rooms throughout The Creek Centre, which includes dining and sitting rooms and a large family and comfort room.
The Creek Centre is a suitable care environment for you if you require somewhat extensive assistance, or are fully dependent, for:
• Mobilising
• Transferring on and off your bed
• Toileting
• Management of food and fluids
• Assistance for all aspects of activities of daily living
The Hostel is located central of McLean Care® CWA House grounds, surrounded by beautiful gardens at the front and a creek to the rear. You have a choice of a range of comfortable rooms throughout the centre, which includes dining and sitting rooms, and a large Leisure & Lifestyle room. There are 30 beds in the Centre, deluxe private rooms, private rooms with ensuite, refurbished private room with shared bathroom or private room with shared bathroom.
The Hostel Centre is divided into 4 sections. Each area has shared lounge room and dining room.
